How to Access a Medical Diagnostic Evaluation Through EI
Referral from Your EI Service Coordinator
To begin, contact your EI Service Coordinator, who will help you through the referral process and determine if your child is eligible for a medical diagnostic evaluation.
Scheduling Your Child’s Evaluation
Once the referral is made, our team will work with you to schedule an in-person evaluation. We aim to provide timely appointments that fit your schedule, ensuring prompt access to our services.
In-Person Evaluation Appointment
Duration: Approximately 2-3 hours
During this visit, your child will undergo a comprehensive evaluation conducted by a licensed developmental behavioral pediatrician and a multidisciplinary team, including occupational, physical, speech, and developmental therapists. Parents are encouraged to be present to offer support and provide additional information. After the evaluation, our team will discuss their findings and offer recommendations for the next steps.
